MARK MASCIA – PRESIDENT & CEO Mark is an accomplished entrepreneur with the ability to recognize and create opportunities. Mark has a proven leadership track record, with extensive experience in building teams and managing employees. He is results oriented and performance driven. His energy, talent and drive, have allowed him to achieve extraordinary success at an accelerated rate when compared to his contemporaries. Prior to forming Mascia Development, Mark was Vice President at SHVO Development, LLC (SHVO), a multi-national luxury real estate development company. Mark was hired at SHVO for his experience in acquisition, finance, and development of urban luxury multifamily projects. As Vice President of Development in the New York office, Mark was directly responsible for founding the development subsidiary of the parent company (SHVO Marketing, LLC) and establishing the development company’s operating infrastructure. Additional duties included hiring, sourcing all new projects, and directing the internal research team. During his tenure at SHVO, Mark added global experience to compliment his domestic real estate proficiency. He established contacts in Europe, the Middle East, India, Panama, and Korea, creating relationships with banks, investment partners, and consultants around the world. Mark also held the position of Development Manager at the Manhattan office of Archstone. He oversaw the completion of projects that included Archstone Clinton, featuring 631 rental apartments and 23,000 square feet of retail space. At Archstone, he directed site identification for projects in Connecticut and Westchester County, New York. His responsibilities included overseeing acquisition, development, financing and asset management. Prior to Archstone, Mark worked for Monument Realty, the largest residential real estate developer in the Washington, DC metro area. At Monument, Mark was directly responsible for the acquisition, development, design, construction, and completion of over 1,500 residential units with over half a billion dollars in financing. Mark presently teaches Real Estate Development Principles and Practices as well as Advanced Real Estate Excel Modeling at New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. He has two Master’s in Science degrees one in Real Estate Finance from New York University and the other in Information Systems Technology with a concentration in Project Management from George Washington University. In addition Mark also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a dual major in Small Business and Information Systems from George Washington University. Mark is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) as designated by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and a licensed real estate broker in the state of New York. He remains active in many industry, community, and philanthropic endeavors. |
